4:30 pm: DBT Workshop for Educators4:30 pm: DBT Workshop for Educators Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based treatment aimed at helping people understand their emotions, manage strong emotions in themselves (and others) and learn strategies to accept when there are situations that can't be changed. Join Dr. Lopez for a 4-week workshop that will provide an overview of emotion regulation techniques, strategies for accepting reality, and how to access your "Wise Mind." We'll talk through techniques for co-regulation in your classroom as well as things you can do for yourself. You do not need to attend all four sessions, but each week will present new information and skills. 6:00 pm: Anxiety Management - Back from Break Edition6:00 pm: Anxiety Management - Back from Break Edition Dr. Scott Cypers will facilitate this once-a-month group to review anxiety management skills, but also to simply provide an open forum for questions about all things mental health related. This monthly workshop will give you some basic tips/techniques and give you a chance to talk through school year stresses. This month, the focus will be on managing anxiety in returning to school in the new calendar year. |

This workshop will offer support, as well as help generate ideas to help navigate this stage of the pandemic in the classroom. We will combine a little information and validation of recent experiences to generate ways to help.
